Plastic Recycling Experiment in Motion Design

Plastic Recycling Experiment in Motion Design
This project was created as part of my year-long program in Motion Design & CG at Bang Bang Education. I worked on this project independently as my final thesis. The aim of the project was to experiment with recycling plastic waste found in the world's oceans.
I focused on creating particles using X-Particles and transforming different materials into these particles. To execute this project, I utilized various tools such as Cinema 4d, Marvelous Designer, Maxon Trapcode, X-particles, and After Effects.
Through this experiment, I aimed to raise awareness about the urgent need for sustainable solutions to plastic waste and to inspire others to explore innovative ways to repurpose waste materials in their own work. This project is a testament to the power of motion design as a tool for advocacy and social change.
A collection of visual references inspired by my motion design project, exploring the upcycling of plastic waste in the ocean. The mood board features plastic waste, clothes and textures/patterns. The color palette evokes urgency and sustainability, using blues, greens and bright pops of color. It guided my creative process and ensured my project stayed on message.
